Privacy Policy
Last updated 5 August 2026
This policy explains what information DefendGen collects when you use this website or contact us, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what rights you have over it. It covers this website only. Security data we process while delivering services to a client is governed by that client's service agreement, not by this policy.
Information we collect
We collect what you type into our contact form: your first name, last name, email address, and your message. If you email us directly we hold whatever your email contains. We ask for nothing else, and the form has no hidden fields.
Cookies and analytics
This website sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to. Our host, Cloudflare, processes standard server request data such as IP address and user agent to serve the site and protect it from attack.
How we use information
To reply to you, to prepare work you have asked for such as a risk assessment, and to keep ordinary business records. We do not sell your information, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not add you to a marketing list because you contacted us.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become client relationships are deleted within 24 months. Records connected to a client engagement are kept for the life of the engagement and for seven years afterward, which is the period our professional and tax obligations require. You can ask us to delete an enquiry sooner and we will, unless we are required to retain it.
Who processes data on our behalf
| Provider | Purpose | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Website hosting, DNS, and email routing | United States and global edge network |
| FormSubmit | Delivers contact form submissions to our inbox | United States |
| Google (Gmail) | Business email for contact@defendgen.com | United States |
| Google Fonts | Fonts are self-hosted at build time, so no visitor request reaches Google | Not applicable |
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email contact@defendgen.com and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you the right to know what personal information we collect and why, to request deletion, to request a copy, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as the CCPA defines those terms.
If you are in the UK or European Economic Area, the UK GDPR and GDPR give you rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Our lawful basis for handling enquiries is legitimate interest in responding to a request you made of us. You may complain to your national supervisory authority.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiries reach a mailbox protected by multi-factor authentication. To report a security issue in this site or any DefendGen service, see our trust and security page.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
